Belair – Soft and subtle, yet sturdy with brawny good looks Belair is sure to please with its work horse color line. It’s well built and beautiful. Belair is cut just a bit thicker than most leathers in order to give it a heavy pebble grain effect. This full grain leather is known for its handsome grain. Belair hides are tanned using a state-of-the-art environmentally friendly process to prepare the leather for dying. After the tanning process the hides go through a process to shrink the grain so that the pebble is accentuated and set to ensure that the grain will be easy to maintain for years to come. Belair hides are dyed with water-based dyes that are rich in color and specifically designed for thicker leathers. Belair is embossed with a pebble grain to ensure the grain is predominate and consistent. The tipping process is added to give the leather a contrasting deep rich color. Natural characteristics should be expected and appreciated. Healed scars, scratches, neck and belly wrinkles are part of the appeal of Belair. Prolonged exposure to the sun will cause leather to fade. One of our many pebble grain leathers.
