Bronte hides have a burley crackle effect which gives the appearance of an aged leather. Bronte has strong character and rugged good looks. Bronte can easily blend with feminine touches or boldly stand alone. It can even say “Old English Pub!” Hides are tanned using “Green technology” which is an environmentally friendly tanning process and then dyed for color using water-based dyes. A heavy wax is applied to the surface of the hides and allowed to dry so that it gives the surface of the leather a weathered appearance. The great thing about Bronte is the effect the wax creates allows the natural characteristics of the leather to shine through so you can expect to see healed scars, scratches, belly and neck wrinkles in this leather. Color will vary from dye lot to dye lot and within the hides. Prolonged exposure to light will cause leather to fade. If you are looking for an aged & worn leather this is for you!
