Sarkara is produced entirely by hand using old artisan techniques. Sarkara is a horn-back gator design that has been in fashion for centuries. Fashion and trends come and go but the traditional hand-finished horn-back gator designs are always in style. Sarkara is a stunning alligator leather that adds so much character to any application. Sarkara is created on premium European top-grain cowhides and tanned using a specific tanning process that is formulated to ensure the leather retains the decorative embossing for years to come. Sarkara is embossed using a mold instead of a standard embossing plate, which allows the embossing have a three dimensional effect. Sarkara is layered with water-based finishes and glazes that give this leather its rich deep color. Since all of the finishes are applied by hand inconsistencies from hide to hide and within each hide should be understood and appreciated. Expect color variationfrom swatch to order due to this fact. A clear water-based top coat is applied for final protection. Please expect natural characteristics such as healed scars, scratches, neck and belly wrinkles in Sarkara. Natural characteristics are part of pure aniline leathers and should be understood. Like most pure aniline leathers prolonged exposure to light will cause them to fade.
