Triumph is a simple descriptive name for a traditional mainstay leather. This distinctive crocodile leather pattern is a faux crocodile that is made in the image of a real croc so that you can create a dramatic effect with this leather. This
top-grain leather is tanned using a specific tanning process that is formulated to ensure the leather retains the decorative embossing deep into the surface of the leather. Triumph is embossed using a mold instead of a standard embossing plate, which allows the embossing have a three dimensional look. Triumph is a traditional pattern that has been around for decades. The pattern repeat in this crocodile design is very similar to that of a stripped fabric. Since the flow of the design is vertical you will have to think about the application of the crocodile design and the waste factor for different applications need to be considered or you will not have enough leather to complete the project. In the in the finishing process you will find some embossing lines in the pattern that are part of the process of making this leather. They should be treated as a feature of the leather. Triumph is layered with water-based finishes and glazes that give this leather its rich deep color. Since all of the finishes are applied by hand inconsistencies from hide to hide and with each hide should be understood and appreciated. Expect color variation from swatch to order. A clear water based top coat is applied for protection. Please expect natural characteristics such as healed scars, scratches, neck and belly wrinkles in Triumph. Natural characteristics are part of pure aniline leathers and should be understood. Like most pure aniline leathers prolonged exposure to light will cause them to fade.
